Gallery notes: the property in scenes
The original showcase for 27 Homestead Lane featured an extensive photo gallery and a 3D virtual tour. This page preserves that walk-through in words, describing the property scene by scene the way the camera saw it.
Arrival
The approach sets the tone: a territorial style home in warm earth tones, framed by high-desert vegetation and the rise of the Sandia foothills. From the front of the property the views open one way; walk around the house and a different panorama opens behind it. Photographs from both sides made the point clearly: the setting is a feature in itself.
Inside the home
Interior scenes centered on the large open living area, where natural light pours in and the custom wood burning fireplace anchors the room. Saltillo tile flows underfoot from room to room. The remodeled kitchen photographs beautifully: granite countertops, custom cabinetry, and the professional Wolf range that any cook would linger over. The library and media room reads as the home's quiet corner, lined with space for books and comfortable seating, and the additional office space shows how easily the home supports working from home.
The patio and outdoor rooms
Outdoor scenes were among the most striking. The spacious tiled patio, with its built-in grill and sculptural outdoor kiva fireplace, functions as a true outdoor room. Evening shots capture what these spaces are for: fire, food, and an enormous New Mexico sky.
The equestrian grounds
The gallery then moved to the working side of the property: the 3-stall barn with its tack rooms, the arena ready for schooling, and turnout space with the mountains beyond. These scenes showed a real, functioning horse property rather than a decorative one.
The land and the views
Final scenes pulled back to the 4.37 acres as a whole: pinon and juniper, open ground, and long sight lines toward the mountains and the mesas. For the wider context of the area itself, see the page on living in Placitas.
